Bunzl is currently hiring a Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support within the region. This position will be based out of Fountain Valley, CA. Responsibilities:
Collaborate and coordinate with the business across the HR function answering routine employee questions, maintain employment files, process improvement, reporting and analysisProvide advice to management team on relative HR and Employee Relations issuesSupport management with disciplinary and termination processes; monitors performance improvementMaintain accuracy of HR dataWork collaboratively with other members of the HR team and business operationsAdminister various HR functions and procedures for all regional employeesAct as consultant and coach to management and employees in the area of employee relations and conducts exit interviewsAdminister regional workers’ compensation program coordinating with the branch Warehouse and Office ManagersMaintain Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and compiles reports from databaseFacilitate in-house management training; coordinate various other training programsApply knowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices and HR disciplinesContribute to the development of HR projects and initiativesIdentify and diagnose issues proactively and develops, recommends and implements root cause solutions
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration preferredMinimum of five or more years of Human Resources experience requiredBilingual in English/Spanish preferredPrior union experience a plusProfessional in maintaining a high level of confidentialityKnowledge of employment laws, employee relations practices and HR disciplinesIn-depth understanding of HR practices, employee relations, fundamentals, and laws/regulationsStrong organizational skills with the ability to monitor multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to meet deadlinesStrong computer skills, Microsoft Office products and HRIS system experienceMust have effective interpersonal skills and communication skillsTravel required approximately 10-15%
Bunzl Fountain Valley salary range: $70-$90K plus bonus eligibility based on experience, education and geographic location.
